Avalanche Path Tool
The Avalanche Analysis Tool is a tool used to automate many of the tasks involved in analyzing avalanches. The tool is a custom built ArcMap extension built in Visual Basic and compiled and distributed as a dynamic link library.
The tool performs an assortment of data collection, manipulation, and calculations. While built with a specific streamlined purpose, the tool is dynamic, and therefore can be used for many different Avalanche anaylsis purposes.
The purpose of the tool was to simplify a procedure for the Ministry of Transportation. The tool is very simple to use, even for the most basic ArcMap users, while still being verbose enough for advanced users to make very good use of it.
